Rule for Blogging

I’ve got a real problem when it comes to writing a blog post. Every time I sit down there are OS update to install on the cloud server. There are tiny adjustments needed to the nginx SSL configuration. There is a new WordPress theme out there for me to test out, a new plugin that will change the way I blog.

No more. I am instituting a new rule. If I don’t have three weeks worth of content lined up, I can’t make adjustments to my blog. No security patching, no theme hunting, and no tweaking until I’ve built up a reserve that could last me through a vacation.

We’ll see how well it works.
